With summer coming to its end it's time to bring out the self tanning lotion to keep your skin looking younger.
Imperfections such as uneven skin tone, spider veins, scars, and broken blood vessels aren't as noticeable when the skin is tanned.
Senior ladies in their 70's often have problems with broken blood vessels that look like bruises, especially on the arms and hands. A little gift for grandma would be a nice tube of tanning lotion and moisturizer for their arms and hands and a little instruction showing them how to apply it, all cradled in a new wash cloth or hand towel and tied with a ribbon.
When using self tanning lotion, prep ONLY the elbows, knees and behind the ankles with moisturizer before apply tanning lotion. Moisturizer does two things: 1)helps the lotion to glide on smoothly in those areas; 2) helps keep the lotion from settling so much in the deeper creases of the skin of the elbows, knees, and ankles. When the lotion can't settle, the tan will look more natural and not dirty in these areas.
