Diet - Visualize a serving size with these tips

If you've wondered how to visualize one serving size, especially when eating out, we hope these little tips will help. When on a strict diet, always measure with measuring utensils for more accurate results.

Pasta: 1/2 cup -1/2 tennis ball.

Meat, poultry or fish: 2 - 3 oz - Deck of cards.

Cheddar, Provolone, Swiss (does not include American cheese): 3 Tablespoons - Average thumb.

Grains such as Oatmeal: 1/2 cup - Ice cream scoop (ok, not the really big scoop!)

Cold Cereal: 3/4 - 1 cup - Average fist.

Milk or yogurt: 1 cup - Average fist.

Fruit - canned, cooked or chopped: 1/2 cup - 1/2 tennis ball.
