Should cuticles be cut or not?

A debate continues to rage about whether you should cut your cuticles or not. In an article recently published by WebMD, it is recommend that you NOT cut the cuticles, because they act as a natural barrier against bacteria. Instead of cutting the cuticles, push them down.

Next time you visit your manicurist, you will need to let them know if you do or do not want your cuticles cut.

Speaking of manicurist, take your manicuring tools with you and advise your manicurist to use them on you. You never really know how well their tools are sterilized. If you recall, Paula Abdul of American Idol suffered from a debilitating infection after having her nails manicured a few years ago.
